USE THE MEDIA!

BOMBARD YOUR STATE AND FEDERAL MP!

ASK YOUR LOCAL COUNCIL TO OPPOSE NUCLEAR POWER GENERATION!

Make an appointment with the General Manager of your Shire or Town Council. Ask that you be given some time to make an address at a meeting of Council about the issues surrounding nuclear power generation in Australia.

ATTEND EVENTS!

Be present, be seen and be active. In the run-up to the Federal Election, there will be a number of events that will allow you to demonstrate your opposition to the proliferation of the nuclear industry in Australia.

Some events are purpose-specific and focused on just these issues (such as PNFA events); some may focus on a range of themes including nuclear industry issues (such as candidates' speaking events) and some will focus on other themes entirely but provide an opportunity for PNFA to highlight nuclear issues (such as the John Butler Trio concerts).

We encourage you to attend these events, provide support to speakers focused on opposing nuclear power in Australia and take opportunities yourselves to present the PNFA viewpoint.

For a list of upcoming and recent events of interest, go to the Events page.

WRITE TO THE LEISURE CLUBS IN A COASTAL ELECTORATE WHOSE MEMBERS USE RIVERS AND THE OCEAN!

Contact the leaders of the local board riders club, the local SLSC, the local fishing club etc and inform them that nuclear power plants cannot operate without releasing large amounts of radioactive gases and elements into the air and nearby water source every day.

Read this Fact Sheet for background.
